Position Overview

Title: DV Kids Hospitality Coordinator
Reporting Relationship: Children & Youth Pastor
Classification: Non-exempt, part time, hourly

Position Overview:
This position oversees all behind-the scenes and onsite support for Desert Vineyard Kids Ministry (DV KIDS), with an emphasis on child check-in using our Rock automated security system. The heart of this job is to create a welcoming, safe and prepared environment for DV Kids children’s services on the weekend and Wednesday nights, as well as for DV Kids events.

It includes scheduling, oversight and care for Welcome Team members, managing all aspects of hospitality, security and technology. It also includes scheduling, oversight and care for setup and tear-down teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, schedule and care for Welcome Team members to serve in hospitality (Greeters, Guides, Door Openers, etc.)
  • Recruit, train, schedule and care for Welcome Team members to serve in technology, mastering the functions of our Rock secure check-in system for convenient child check-in at weekend and Wednesday night mid-week children’s services. Utilize this system to make check-in a smooth experience for parents and safe experience for children.
  • Collaborate with the DV Security Team to maintain a security presence during children’s services and events.
  • Develop. train, schedule and care for Setup and Tear-down teams which serve DV Kids services and events.
  • Ensure environments are clean and ready for children’s ministry and related events.
  • Create a culture of ever increasing hospitality and safety.
  • Team-based additional ministry duties as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Love for people, particularly parents and children.
  • Ability to recruit, train and care for volunteer teams.
  • Strong ability to use technology.
  • Ability to communicate well and work well with people.

 

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years experience in ministry, children’s ministry desired
  • 1-3 years leading volunteers and managing people
  • 1-3 years experience gaining database or other technical knowledge
