Our Ministries

Individual ministries at Desert Vineyard exist to serve our congregation and community in ways that are practical, meaningful, and Christlike.  Because we are not a church with membership, our resources are available to everyone--feel free to participate and invite a friend or neighbor to check out something that might have a positive impact on their life.  Our ministries are also a place for you to contribute your time, talents, network, and financial resources.
NEW this fall, you are invited to come and grow in faith, discipleship, and leadership as we gather on Wednesdays for studies, classes, groups and more.  Check out the current session schedule online for details.  (DV Kids available to those who register online.)  Virtue Coffee opens at 6pm!
The Hope Center serves our homeless population, working poor and those trapped in the cycle of poverty; providing support and practical solutions for a better future.  Mondays 11am-3pm we offer lunch, showers, clothing, access to community support services and more.
The Free Market is one way we are helping to ease the burden of food insecurity in our community.  We are open  Wednesdays 11am-2pm.  Anyone is welcome to come shop for free grocery staples in our warehouse style market.
Groups come in all shapes and sizes so wherever you find yourself in life, there’s a group for you.
Our group leaders and hosts love Jesus, appreciate the way Desert Vineyard seeks to find and follow Jesus, and have a natural talent for gathering and caring for people.
You can find all of the current group listings online, including care and recovery groups, Bible studies for men and women, and activity groups.
Virtue Coffee pairs the relational aspect of sharing a cup of coffee with the mission of serving the poor and practice of ethical commerce.  Our cafe, serving espresso drinks, and coffee express line in the lobby both rely on volunteers all weekend so we can maximize the impact Virtue Coffee has on programs for the homeless in our community.
Our worship team is full of those who have a heart for worship and a talent to sing or play an instrument.  Their commitment and gifts help lead our congregation in song each weekend with music that incorporates the truth of the Gospel, experience of Christian living, and cement the words of scripture in our hearts.
We believe in the power and the necessity of prayer in all aspects of our lives.  Each of us is able to reach to God personally with any prayer needs, but we also know it is a comfort to pray with others.  At each of our weekend services, the Prayer Ministry team provides intercession and prayer for salvation, healing, comfort, and wisdom for anyone who has need.
Our welcome team includes people outside in the courtyard, in the lobby, and in the auditorium with distinct roles that invite people in, help them find their way, and answer any questions they might have.  In addition, they support various aspects of the weekend gathering and special services throughout the year.
Family relationships are among some of the most wonderful and complex, and they will require a lot of care over the years.  Whether you find yourself in a season of planning a wedding or  a memorial, or you are seeking guidance in marriage and parenting, we are here with ongoing support and meaningful resources for life's milestones and the everyday challenges.
We love kids!  Each week, your infant through 5th grader will have fun and learn about God in developmentally appropriate ways.  We engage kids with Bible stories, teaching, songs, crafts, games and hands-on activities in both large and small group environments.  We want to partner with you for the spiritual growth of your child.

Safety is a priority.  Our reliable and secure check-in system provides tags with matching numbers for parents and children.  Children are only released to adults with matching tags.  In addition, children's tags also serve as their name tag and include information about allergies or special needs.
Thorough background checks and comprehensive security screening is required for everyone on our church staff and all volunteers who work directly with children and youth.

In DV Youth we are all about building community and pursuing Jesus together for youth in grades 6-12. Whether you've grown up in church or have never been, we'd love to have you join us on a Wednesday, Sunday, or at one of our special events.
